WH Bence are proud to unveil and announce that Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service are now part of the ever growing list of customers we now support within the Emergency Service sector for Incident Command.
Their new highly innovative Command Unit will not only assist with the managing of incidents of any scale but will also enhance their abilities whilst on the incident ground.
As part of the design process, Bence worked with every member of the incident ground team from the IT Department, high ranking officers and incident ground support staff to make sure we had a full understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Together we designed and manufactured a vehicle and command system which is both powerful and easy to use.
The Command Unit incorporates all of the latest Bence technologies, including the Simple User Management System (SUMS) which makes operation of the vehicle simple and intuitive. The command system is provided on a 16tonne Volvo chassis, providing an 8m body, allowing the integration of both a conference facility and operational workstations.
The vehicle is provided with the latest HD body-worn and vehicle mounted camera systems, which stream high definition footage to both the internal and external briefing screens. All the screens are provided with touch capability to allow for an interactive ability when briefing.
As part of the Bence service for Command and Control, we are now supporting Tyne and Wear with a 24/7 contract for remote support and on-site assistance. This means Tyne and Wear have a single number to call for any queries or questions about the vehicle throughout its service contract period.
The team at Tyne and Wear are excited to start using the vehicle and we look forward to a long and successful working relationship together.
